Tom Terrific was an early animated series on American television, presented as part of the Captain Kangaroo children's television show. "The Great Depression has hit a rundown farm owned by a Farmer Alfalfalike farmer. As the old man sleeps on his porch, objects around him begin to break down. /.../ Just then saxophone salesmen Tom and Jerry happen by the farm.
